Time to Be Seen

Sjögren's disease can be difficult, but going through it alone can be even more challenging. It's time to be seen and heard by scientists exploring what's possible for Sjögren's through clinical research—see if the DAFFODIL Trial is right for you.

See If You May Qualify

You may be able to participate in the DAFFODIL Trial if you:

Clinical research is most effective when it includes a variety of people.

The trial team is committed to enrolling participants from all backgrounds affected by Sjögren’s disease and ensuring diversity in race/ethnicity, gender identity, age, geographic location, socioeconomic status, and disability status.

Qualified participants will receive all trial-required medicines and trial-required care at no cost. Participants may be reimbursed for trial-required travel and expenses.

About the DAFFODIL Trial

The DAFFODIL Trial is evaluating the efficacy and safety of an investigational medicine for moderate to severe Sjögren’s disease.

The trial involves up to 30 visits over the course of up to about 3 years. Visits will take place once a week for the first month and about once a month after that. Participants are randomly assigned to 1 of 2 groups and will receive either the investigational medicine or a placebo, administered as an injection under the skin (subcutaneous). A placebo is a substance that looks like the investigational medicine but contains no active ingredients. For every 5 participants who enroll, 3 will be assigned to the group receiving the investigational medicine. After the first 48 weeks of the trial, eligible participants can move into a long-term extension period, during which all participants will receive the investigational medicine for 96 weeks. Participants may be able to continue their current Sjögren’s disease-related medications. The trial doctor or staff will provide more information about this.

You can play a role in helping researchers find potential treatment options for Sjögren’s disease by participating in this trial. Participants may be reimbursed for trial-required travel and expenses.
